Sunbathing Seals

Original Lino cut print with handpainted watercolour

This print is inspired by the seals resting on the Blakeney Harbour in Norfolk.

After staying a week in Norfolk at the Top Shed Residency I took my bike on a 40 mile round journey travelling towards the coast. I signed up to a Beans Seal boat trip and sketched the seal pups sunbathing and diving into the water. 

Paper size 24cm x 30cm 

Hand Printed on Southbank Smooth paper 250GSM from my studio in Bristol. Printed with Caligo Safewash Black ink and hand finished with watercolour.

Variable edition due to the hand painted finish.
